This article talks through the process of installing the alpha version of RISC OS onto an SD card. The article uses an Apple Mac but see the comments for using only the Raspberry Pi (and the Linux that comes with it).

In September 2012 the beta release of RISC OS for the Raspberry Pi will become available. This can be installed as per the 20th July article, above, but will also be available on an SD card from ROOL for a modest price. An SD card of commercial RISC OS software, the NutPi, is also scheduled for September 2012 release, again at a modest price. We'll provide further details and the relevant links here as we get them.
